CMI Virginia, based in Richmond has been created as a companion program to the American Youth Harp Ensemble Summer Harp Institute, with resident and commuter options (Click here for more information about commuter options). Now in its 17th year under the leadership of the distinguished Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, CMI serves as an enhancement for the development of sound principles of playing for promising youth, ages 20 and younger. Located in Richmond's historic Windsor Farms, CMI is within two-hours drive of Washington D.C., and a short distance from historic Williamsburg, Monticello, and Virginia's most popular beaches. 

 
CMI Young Artist Association
A festival for profession bound players ages 20 and younger, with an emphasis on excellence in chamber music with quality instruction. Please see our audition requirements. Acceptance by live auditions, via DVD, Skype, or Youtube.  DVDs should be sent to the Academy of Music, Attn: Chamber Music Institute, 4200 Dover Road, Richmond VA 23221.  Click here for audition requirements.


Rising Musicians Society
A program for string, brass, woodwind, and harp students ages 20 and younger, with promise, who are at various stages of their musical development. Auditions not required. Placement upon registration.
